"RANGER"
by
Ron Petitt

Early in the Vietnam war, America's military leaders realized the need for specialized units to perform missions that were beyond the capabilities of the average soldier.  This led to the reactivation of the US Army's Ranger infantry companies in 1969.

All Rangers were trained to be experts in jungle survival and deep penetration patrol.  While not as widely publicized as their Special Forces counterparts, the Ranger's played a significant roll in the Vietnam War.

This authentic sculpture is equipped with the Army Ranger cap, slant pocket fatigues,  smoke grenade, CAR-15 rifle, combat knife, ALICE gear with ammo pouches and  handgrenades, canteens and jungle boots.
